Important: Amended General Orders governing practice during the COVID-19 Emergency

Friday, November 12, 2021

The court has amended its two General Orders governing practice during the pandemic.

General Order No. 20-05 has been amended to allow trials and evidentiary hearings in Western Division cases to be held in the courthouse, as long as the district court’s requirements for court proceedings during the pandemic are observed. Trials and evidentiary hearings in Eastern Division cases will continue to be conducted remotely using Zoom for Government.

General Order No. 20-03 has been amended chiefly to conform to Amended General Order No. 20-05, but the new version also makes the following changes:

- Deletes the times for Judge Schmetterer’s motion calls

- Changes the time for Judge Baer’s chapter 7 and chapter 11 call

- Changes Judge Thorne’s chapter 13 call from Wednesday afternoon to Wednesday morning and adjusts the times

- Deletes the option of appearing on a motion using AT&T Teleconference

- Deletes the form notice of motion for motions heard using AT&T Teleconference

- Corrects the form notice of motion for motions using Zoom for Government, changing “password” to “passcode”
