Attention CM/ECF filers: be aware that you may inadvertently share restricted documents when you let third-party services or software use your PACER account credentials.

Also, designating a third-party provider as a secondary recipient of a Notice of Electronic Filing or Notice of Docket Activity (NEF/NDA) may give the third-party provider access to sealed or restricted case information and documents. Doing so could violate court orders.

Be sure to protect your account credentials and use caution in your computer security practices to ensure you don’t disclose sealed or restricted documents.
