General Order Regarding Filing Fees Owed in Prior Cases

Tuesday, April 15, 2025

This order states that if a debtor owed filing fees at the time of dismissal of a case, those fees are immediately due and payable. If filing fees remain unpaid and the debtor files a new case, an application to pay the filing fee in installments in the new case may be denied. In the alternative the court may order that the filing fee in the new case be paid within 14 days. Failure to pay the filing fee in the new case within 14 days may result in dismissal of the new case.
