General Order NO. 18-02 Bankruptcy Court Rules Advisory Committee

This order creates a Bankruptcy Court Rules Advisory Committee.

The purpose of the Committee is to recommend to the judges of the Court potential modifications to the Court's local rules and procedures.

The Committee will consist of nine (9) members: the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court; the Chair of the Court's Local Rules Committee; the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court; the United States Trustee for Region 11; a Law Professor; and four attorneys.

The Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court will appoint the law professor and attorneys on the Committee, after consultation with the other judges of the Court. The attorney members will serve staggered three-year terms. To ensure the terms are staggered, two of the attorneys appointed upon entry of this order will serve four-year terms. The Chief Judge will select a member to serve as chair of the Committee.
