All trials and evidentiary hearings are in-person. For matters that do not involve witness testimony, the Zoom interface is reserved for parties and counsel. Non-party observers and members of the press are not permitted to use the Zoom interface and should attend in-person. Should the court be required to handle evidentiary matters at any hearing, Zoom participation will be modified and active participants are encouraged to attend in-person.

Due to reoccurring instances of alleged improper press activity at hearings, the court directs all persons to review and comply with the Joint Courthouse Security Order issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on May 1, 2026, available here: https://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov/GeneralOrders.aspx, and Local Rule 5073-1.

As a general reminder, recording, photography, and/or broadcasting judicial proceedings is strictly prohibited and no member of the media may solicit or conduct any on- or off-camera interview anywhere within the Courthouse, other than within the designated media areas, which is not in the courtroom.
