Amended Local Bankruptcy Rules and Sixth Amended General Order No. 20-03

Tuesday, April 19, 2022

The bankruptcy court has issued amended Local Rules effective April 19, 2022.  (The complete set is available here and on the court’s web site.)  The amended rules will change the court’s motion practice once the COVID health emergency ends to permit a hybrid in-person/video practice using the notice-of-objection procedure now in effect.  (LR 1000-1, 1072-1, 9013-1, 9013-2, 9013-9).  The amended rules also include rules for complex chapter 11 cases and for mediation in bankruptcy cases.  (LR 9090-1, 9090-2, 9090-3, 9060-1).

Because the COVID health emergency has not ended, some of the amended motion rules are temporarily suspended, as their predecessors were.  The court has issued a Sixth Amended General Order No. 20-03 (available here) effective April 19, 2022.  The Sixth Amended General Order changes or adds references that correspond to the amended Local Rules.
