The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in conjunction with the Chicago Bar Association and Legal Aid Chicago has established a Bankruptcy Help Desk offering free legal advice from a licensed attorney to parties without lawyers. If you are interested in volunteering at the Bankruptcy Help Desk, please contact Legal Aid Chicago at volunteer@legalaidchicago.org, or sign up through Legal Aid Chicago's website.

Rockford Bankruptcy Assistance Desk

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in conjunction with Prairie State Legal Services, Northern Illinois University School of Law, Rockford Career College and members of the Bankruptcy Bar of the Western Division has established a Bankruptcy Assistance Desk offering free legal advice from a licensed attorney to parties without lawyers who may wish to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy petition.
