Judge Carol A. Doyle - Chicago Motion/Adversary Schedule

Judge Doyle will not be sitting the following dates:

Courtroom No. 742
Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Motions
Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
Chapter 13 New Trustee Motions
Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m.
Trustee motions noticed for 9:15 a.m. will not be called in open court if the parties reach agreement before the hearing. The result is that very few trustee motions are called in open court and the few motions that are called in open court are generally heard close to 9:30 a.m. Debtor's counsel should communicate with the trustee's counsel before the hearing date whenever possible to determine whether a motion should be called. Trustee's counsel is also available in the courtroom at 9:15 a.m. to discuss possible agreements.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Adversaries
Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
Chapter 13 Motions
Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Set Matters
Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
Chapter 13 Set Matters and Adversaries
Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Involuntary Petitions
Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
Chapter 13 Confirmation Hearings
Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Confirmation hearings: Cases scheduled for a confirmation hearing will be called in open court only if the trustee or a party requests that it be called because the parties have not reached an agreement. Parties should communicate with each other prior to the hearing date whenever possible to attempt to reach agreement to continue the confirmation hearing or otherwise resolve confirmation issues. All parties who seek to have a case called for confirmation must request that the case be called by no later than the break before the confirmation hearings. With this procedure, very few cases are called in open court for confirmation so it is important that parties tell the courtroom deputy that a confirmation hearing should be called before confirmation hearings begin.

Notes: If you will be setting more than Ten (10) Adversary Status Hearing Dates on a Bankruptcy Matter, please contact the Judge's Chambers for the Day and Time for said Hearing.
New motions in adversary proceedings should be noticed for 10:00 a.m. unless the underlying adversary is up for status on the same day. If the adversary is up for status, new adversary motions can be noticed for the same time as the adversary status.
Trustee's Final Reports should be scheduled at 10:30 a.m. with set matters.
Routine motions and other motions to which no objection is expected may be listed as WILL BE GRANTED WITHOUT HEARING UNLESS AN OBJECTING PARTY REQUESTS THAT THE COURTROOM DEPUTY CALL THE CASE IN OPEN COURT.
Please refer to Procedures for Cases Assigned to Judge Doyle for further information.
