Report of Small Dividends

Background: 

This event should be used by the Chapter 7 Trustee to file a Report of Small Dividends if the dividend for any creditor is less than $5. The report shall include a list with the names, addresses and amount payable to each creditor.

Please review Rule 3010 for additional information.

Attention!

After this document has been electronically filed, the trustee has 2 business days to remit a check to the court's office along with a copy of the Report of Small Dividends that was filed with the court

After the court receives a remittance of the check, the court will record a Receipt on the docket.

Example of a Receipt: 

Receipt of Unclaimed Funds for 0.14 by CM. Receipt Number 12345678. Payment received from Trustee's Name. (register) (Entered: 09/25/2012)

Step by Step Instructions:

1. Select [Bankruptcy > Trustee > US/Trustee]

2. Enter case number

3. Click Next

4. Select Report of Small Dividends

5. Click Next

6. Select the Trustee from the party pick list

7. Browse, Scan and Attach

8. Click Next

9. The Modify Text Screen will display

   • If applicable, click the down arrow to choose a prefix from the pick list

   • Verify the accuracy of the docket text. If not correct / If correct

10. Click Next

11. The Final Text Editing Screen will display

    Example of Final Text Editing Text: 

    Trustee's Report of Small Dividends Filed by Trustee (Trustee's name). (Trustee's Last Name, Trustee's first name) (Entered: 09/19/2012)

    This is your final opportunity to modify the entry before submitting the filing.

12. Click Next to complete the filing process

The Notice of Electronic Filing will display.

It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.

Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case. You have a period of 15 days for a one time free look at the document filed.
